We created the Catering Council as a resource for restaurant operators seeking guidance on growing their catering business. The council serves as a board of advisors to the industry to help guide restaurants in growing their catering business. Today we’re announcing Aaron Hoffman, Co-founder of DeliverThat and the company’s Chief of Staff, a leading last-mile delivery and logistics solutions for multi-unit brands, as a member of the Catering Council. Why did you join the Cater Council?
I joined the Cater Council because of my extensive experience and passion for the food service industry, which has spanned nearly 11 years since I founded DeliverThat in my college dorm room. Over the years, I have been captivated by the multifaceted nature of this industry, especially the people who drive it. My goal is to serve as a valuable resource for individuals and companies within our sector, helping them maximize their potential in catering. Catering is a unique business model that differs significantly from dine-in and takeout services, as well as from standard meal delivery. By being part of this council, I aim to share my knowledge and insights and contribute to the collective success of our industry.

What do you hope to learn from the Cater community?
From the Cater community, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of the operational challenges that restaurant operators encounter in the catering segment. This includes identifying specific pain points, learning about innovative solutions, and discovering new trends and best practices. By listening to and engaging with other members, I aim to refine my own approaches and contribute more effectively to the ongoing growth and success of the catering industry.
